Recently Hoops-A-Daisy has launched a new department for 'Mother of the Bride' outfits. This was as a result of customer demand from Mums who were finding it increasingly difficult to find the perfect outfit at a reasonable price.

On the 8th March 2012, we held a charity fashion show which raised over £1700 with all the proceeds to be split between Wakefield Hospice and the Neurological Education Fund. Here are a selection of photos from the 'Mother of the Bride' outfits.

The range

Michaela Louisa

This very popular range consists of dresses with bolero jackets. They look fabulous dressed up with a hat or fascinator and lovely shoes and bag but remove all that and the dresses are very easy to wear again. The boleros, being plain, are useful to wear with other items. Colours range from strong reds and blues to soft golds and beiges and classic black and white. The fabrics are light and easy to care for and the prices range from £200 - £299.

'Love' by Benjamin Roberts

Luxurious fabrics and fashionable shapes, with detachable belts, with a choice of sleeve and skirt lengths and many colours to order (allow 14 weeks). Many of these styles have been worn by celebrities and are featured regularly in fashion magazines. Prices range from £400 - £600.

NASSc

Mainly consisting of fitted jackets with dresses, but also 3 piece suits, the skirts are mainly chiffon, giving a lovely 'swish' when you move! The jackets are mainly long sleeved and would be very useful for wearing with other outfits afterwards. The dresses can be worn on their own for other occasions as most have sleeves. The colours are strong, with purple, black/silver and black/taupe as the main palette. Prices range from around £240 - £340.

Pifer and Mayka

A new label from Spain and one we are really excited about. The range consists of dresses with matching coats, dresses with bolero jackets and 3 piece suits. The colours are very soft with pale beige, gold, lilac, soft green and silver grey. We also have a range of hats and fascinators specifically to match these items. Prices range from £300 - £450.

Ebony Rose

Very glamorous with boned, laced, strapless bodices in 'shot' taffeta. The fabric is ruched and pleated to give a sumptuous feel. In order to move from the ceremony to the reception, the dresses have a bolero jacket to wear during the day and a stole to put over your shoulders in the evening. Although we have a choice of several colours in stock such as bronze, gold, silver, ruby and lilac, these dresses are available to order in 40 colours and several skirt lengths (allow 14 weeks).

Daisy May

A very 'retro' feel using 60's inspired fabrics and styles, we haven't seen anything else like this. Consisting of a mix and match collection of dresses, 'swing' coats and short jackets all of which would be suitable to wear with other items after the wedding. Colours used are cream/gold, silver, green, pink and bold floral prints.Prices range from £149 for a dress, £99 for a jacket and £149 for a coat.

Gino Cerruti

Longer length chiffon dresses with luxurious pleated satin jackets in purple or navy.Prices approx £250.

Rainbow Club shoes and bags

Available in all heel heights and with extra width fittings if required, these shoes and bags can be dyed to match your outfit exactly. Price start at £65 for shoes and £45 for a bag plus dyeing which costs £25.

Fascinators and Hats

We have a constantly changing range with prices from £15.
