Our service

Choosing your Wedding Dress will be something that you will remember for the rest of your life – and it should be a good memory! Our team of sales advisors are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and above all, dedicated to helping you find the perfect dress. They will listen to your ideas – however unusual – and try to turn them into reality for you.

Our history

In 1987, after spotting a gap in the market, Val Foster worked from home making and hiring out hooped petticoats – hence the name Hoops-a-Daisy! From such small beginnings the business grew and in 1989 had to move into commercial premises as Wedding Dresses and Accessories were added to the range.

In 1999 Val's daughter Karen Noden bought the business and set about expanding both the premises and the shops reputation. In 2005 a £150,000 refurbishment was carried out during which a second floor was added, resulting in 2 storeys of luxurious showrooms. Hoops-a-Daisy is now one of the most respected and well known names in Bridalwear in the North of England, stocking over 300 of the most beautiful Wedding Dresses and a huge range of superb accessories. It isn't hard to see why this is - everything in the shop is designed to make the customer comfortable, from the air conditioning to the large private changing rooms. And this dedication has been recognised - in 2004, Hoops-a-Daisy was voted into the top 3 'Best Designed Bridal Salons in the UK' and in 2007, Barbara Scott, a long standing member of staff, won the 'Best Bridalwear Salesperson' award, both from the 'Bridal Buyer' magazine Bridal awards.

Our appointment system

You are welcome to visit our showrooms at any time if you would like to just look at what is on offer. You will be able to see everything, have a coffee and a chat about your needs but to try dresses on you will need an appointment so that we can assign a dedicated sales advisor and a private changing room.

Saturdays are always in demand and can be rather busy – why not try to take an afternoon off work and come during the week when it is quieter? Our opening hours are 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
